Certificate III in Children's Services is set to become the minimum standard for childcare workers,
this nationally recognised qualification is for those currently in the industry who need to formalise their practical experience as well as for new entrants.This qualification covers workers who use organisational policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.

All Trainer and Assessors have training experience in their area of expertise and are formally qualified to deliver training and assessment relevant to the Training Package qualification being offered.

Completion of this course will enhance your ability to gain employment in one of the following roles:

Course Information - Entry requirements
Students will need to complete the following a Criminal History Check [Police Clearance] at enrolment time, Medical Report which need to be cleared prior to placement along with a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test. A Child Safe Environment Certificate is also required. This mandatory one day training will be available during the course at Enhance Training and recruitment and must be completed prior to placement.

This qualification can also be completed externally.

All units of competence in the course have a theoretical component which is delivered via readings, power point presentation, audio visual aids and activities for the student to complete in the learning guide. Many of the underpinning principles in this industry (workplace health and safety hygiene etc) will be addressed continually throughout the course.

Further Study Options
Certificate III can lead to other courses including the Diploma of Children’s Services.

Placement
As part of your Child Care studies, you will be required to put your theoretical skills into practice in a workplace. You are required to spend 40 days in a child care centre working with children of all ages. The placement will be organised for you by ENHANCE Training and Recruitment. The first day of placement for EXTERNAL STUDENTS is considered an Induction/observation day only, and students must be shown all practical tasks before doing themselves.
